Since the Middle Ages, some Christians have been saying, that the Jews walk around
with a 'covering': their soul would be darkened. I am convinced that the reverse is true:
Paul has deceived all Christians. During two millennia he has been able to mislead a
great deal of humanity. Paul is a devil in human form to me. These bold wording demands
a hard-hitting explanation.
First, Paul is called Saul. He was an outspoken homicidal type. During a synagogue service,
it was Paul who proclaims that you can ask Jesus for
forgiveness for your sins. In Jewish tradition, only God can forgive your sins.
In the Greek testament, also James indicates that not Jesus, but God forgives.
Paul commands you to walk with a bow around harlots and tax collectors. John does the same.
Jesus associates with harlots and tax collectors in order to restore them to the right path.
It is precisely these people who need him most to open their eyes!
In a little conversation between Jesus and Peter: "Rabbi [Teacher], how many times can my brother
go wrong against me and how many times must I forgive him? Seven times?"
Jesus said to him, "I say to you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times!"
God tells us that the Law is not difficult. The Jews, who practice the Law,
the Jewish commandments, can testify that whatever God asks is doable.
Jesus knew the Jewish Law thoroughly and he said, "I have fulfilled the Law."
According to me, it means, that he was able to carry out all 613 precepts at least once.
Jesus does not change a single letter of the Law. It is not allowed.
Paul dares to say, that the Law is a yoke under which you are in danger
of succumbing and he dares to wipe out all the Precepts in one fell swoop:
away with those Laws, he says, and comes very cocky with his own laws in Ephesus.
Following those laws is called idolatry, I thought.
Incidentally, non-Jews are not subject to Jewish laws.
What is called Christianity, I call Paulianity.
Jesus would 'turn in his grave'!
